Piano Technicians Guild
Oklahoma Chapter Minutes
June 20, 2002

The meeting was held at Ross Trawick’s place and started about 8:45am.

Norman gave the invocation.

Minutes were read and accepted.

Norman updated the group on the sexual orientation Proposal discussed in the May meeting and presented his exhaustive dissertation outlining the basic truths and realities of the matter.

No new information presented on TSA.

Some stories with such subjects as Speedos, trains, name calling were shared. Rhonda Ringer unfortunately demonstrated what not to do when there are unsupervised dogs in a fenced area. It was a valuable lesson indeed for all in attendance.

Norman proclaimed excellent works on behalf of Ben Davis, our outgoing president. Those in attendence couldn’t have agreed more.

Ben volunteered to call persons inviting them to the next meeting.

The technical, _Repair of Cracked and Broken Grand Piano Leg Locking Plates_, was presented by Ross Trawick. Ross showed the people present many interesting reasons and techniques for repairing existing leg plates as opposed to ordering new ones. He also presented some of his inventions such as dummy piano legs, a jacking method for lifting the ends of grand pianos and a similar device to the Piano Horse concept shown at the meeting in April.

I managed to hang around after everyone else had left, and Ross showed me another creation in process. He is designing a carriage/truck for a Kingston harpsicord at Oklahoma University. When he is finished, the harpsichord will be able to be rolled around in much the same fashion as concert grand pianos with their stage trucks. Pretty nifty!

By the end of the meeting seven persons had been in attendance:
Ross Trawick, Ben Davis, Keith McGavern, Bob Scheer, Norman Cantrell, Rhonda Ringer, Don Bonds.

Meeting adjourned.

Respectfully submitted,
Keith McGavern, RPT
