Gary gave a report on the Accu-Tuners of Amos Hedrick: Repair cost was $175 per unit. Inventronics offered $300 as is. So starting price is $475.

David Bonham inquired about Steve Davis. David says he advertises move & tune packages and invited him to the chapter meetings.

Potential future technicals: Caster repair, prepping hammers already hung.

During coffee break we were treated to a most unusual selection, courtesy of Ben Davis. That being cut wieners in a BBQ sauce and what may have been homemade bread. For certain it was of the healthy variety type. Life will never be the same again.

For the technical Bob Scheer went and did it again, that is, gotten into Hammer Voicing in a big way. If it wasn’t enough with a multitude of new piano projects surrounding his shop, he is diving in to the intricacies of how to manipulate hammers to achieve the most out of tone, and he shared that with those of us who were present. Needless to say, there is more to sticking a needle just anywhere and hoping for the best. Bob covered the different locations that actually result in different effects.

There were 11 persons in attendance:
Bob Scheer, Frank Payne, Nathan Sobel, Gary Bruce, Keith McGavern, Greg Lynch, Matthew Stanley (guest of Ben Davis), David, & Barbara Bonham, Norman Cantrell.

Respectfully submitted,
Keith McGavern, RPT
