Technical was given by Greg Lynch. He had many interesting things to offer.
1) Young Chang growing brackets
A handout of what to do was given for this most unusual problem associated with Young Chang grand piano action brackets. It seems the metal actual expands to the point of rendering the piano useless, whereby, the brackets must be replaced, and the piano re-regulated.
2) Future PTG testing ideas
Essentially, Greg presented ideas concerning pre-screening potential RPT applicants to better insure their ability to pass/fail the exams.
3) Apprenticing others into the piano business
Again, Greg, introduced his views concerning bringing new people into the piano tuning business. He certainly offered many points to consider.
4) He showed his key pounder tool, and ways to alleviate stress on your body parts. Because he is also a violinist, this also helped him to construct better methods to apply pressure to the larger muscles and reduce/eliminate pain.
